Domaine Lucien Lardy:
Prior to 1936 when Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée (AOC) regulations were established, Moulin-à-Vent wines were commonly marketed as “vins de Romanèche”. They were also called “Thorins wines”. They were referring to the two communes, along with Chénas, that fall under the appellation.
This particular terroir, renowned since the 18th century, lays in the north of Le Moulin. We consider such a location an ideal climate for barrel aging. Through dedicated efforts, Lucien Lardy has emerged as a trusted and esteemed producer in the Fleurie region. The vineyard plot, strategically positioned at the base of the Moulin, presented an exciting opportunity to pursue excellence and elevate the quality of their wines.
