Viognier Au pays de Lea Domaine Perroud

Viognier Au pays de Lea Domaine Perroud organic wine 2024

Domaine Perroud Au Pays de Léa Viognier expresses the character of organically farmed vineyards planted on granite soils in Beaujolais, France. Made from 100% Viognier, this white wine combines generous fruit, refreshing acidity, and a balanced structure.

The domaine hand-harvests the grapes to protect their freshness and ensure careful selection in the vineyard. Once the grapes reach the winery, the team presses them immediately. This gentle approach helps preserve the wine’s natural aromas and vibrant fruit character.

After pressing, the wine matures on fine lees for 12 months. As a result, it develops a fuller texture, greater depth, and a smooth, rounded palate. The winemakers clarify the wine with diatomaceous earth, which supports a clean and precise final expression.

Tasting Style

This organic Viognier offers a fruit-forward profile with notable freshness and structure. Its polished texture makes it easy to enjoy on its own, while its aromatic character and balanced acidity make it especially versatile with food.

« Everything is tailored to the needs of our vines and much effort is put forth by hand in the vineyard, because no great wine can be made without exceptional grapes! Which at my estate are handpicked, when fully ripened, by a happy and loyal band of harvence. »
