Beaujolais Cru since 1946.
Origin : The Cote du Py hill is the most prestigious terroir in Beaujolais. It is located in Morgon and its soil is composed of blue and grey granite in decomposition called schist or locally the “rotten rocks”.
Grape Variety: 100% Gamay Noir.
Farming: Estate certified Terra Vitis. Sustainable farming, putting straw in the vines, plowing of the soil
Tasting Notes: A dark red robe with garnet tints. A nose very complexe showing blackberries, roasted, smoky and tobacco notes. In the palate, the wine is very rich and elegant with fine and ripe tannins. An earthy finish marked with stone fruits notes.
Food Pairing and serving recommendations: A delight with cassoulet, duck confit, games, lambs, rabbits, steaks.

The Domaine:
In 1834, Mr. Gauthier built the family home in Morgon. Since then, generations of winegrowers have succeeded one another in this family and Laurent, since the age of 19, has been the current owner. Firmly attached to tradition, he favors a return to natural methods in his 12-hectare estate.
