Located in the heart of Burgundy, Maison Naudin Pere & Fils produces quality and authentic wines since 1849.

This village, the largest of the Côte Chalonnaise, is also the most famous wine of this coast. It is located at 12 kilometres from the south of the Côte de Beaune. Village in relief with various exposures, it extends on two villages; Mercurey and Saint-Martin-sous-Montaigu

Grape Variety: 100% Pinot Noir.

Tasting Notes: At first, Mercurey 1er cru Les Naugues 2020  offers a ruby color with dark reflections. Then, the fresh and delicate nose opens on notes of very ripe fresh fruit. The palate is fine and seductive. It does confirm the red and black fruit (wild blackberry, morello cherry). Overall, it is delicately supported by fine, silky tannins. The wine shows persistence in the mouth; he is frank and straight and reveals at the same time finesse and elegance.

 

To drink young around 3 years or keep up to 10 years and more.

Serves at 15-16C.

Food Pairing suggestions: Ideal with grilled meats and especially pork, it will be a great friend with white meat in sauce or some cheeses from Burgundy.

This Mercurey will be ideal for grilling and on pork. After 3 or 4 years; roasted meats, dishes cooked with various sauces (blanquettes, wine or mustard) will be much appreciated. Finally a a very wide choice is offered for this characterful terroir wine.
