Meursault Naudin Pere & Fils vintage is 2023
Located at the south of the Coast of Beaune on the most beautiful soils favourable to the blooming of the Chardonnay. Encircled by the villages of Volnay (in the north) and Puligny-Montrachet (in the south) the soft slopes of the hills of Meursault allow producing some of the white high-class wines of the world.
Clay is dominant in grounds mainly limestone and marls. Manual Harvest with strict selection.
Grape Variety: 100% Chardonnay
Tasting Notes: First, Golden and brilliant colour. Then the floral nose, with a light vanilla touch, opens on white flowers (hawthorn) and the apple when it is young.
In the mouth, the wine is ample, powerful. It is perfectly well balanced with a real freshness. The wine as a precise, elegant and impressive style.
After few years, you will enjoy a richer wine with more length on the palate. Overall the finish is characterised by some delicate tannins.
Wine Pairing recommendations:
To drink young or to keep until 10 years. Temperature of service: 13°C
Meursault is undoubtedly the wine for fish. Its purity and its smoothness never betray the flesh of fish.
It will be advised for all fishes (a salmon cooked with a sorrel sauce for example), cooked shells and shellfish. White meats in sauce prepared with cream and mushrooms for examples.
