The vines of Chenas en Remont Pascal Aufranc date back to 1316 when Philippe le Long uprooted oak trees to plant vines.
A few years later, Chénas would find itself in all the cellars of King Louis XIII.

Soil: granite, very sandy, 300m altitude, west facing
Vinification & Aging: Reasoned fight for preserve biodiversity, vatting for 8 to 10 days in grilled vats, 6 to 8 months of aging in vats
Tasting Notes: First a Ruby robe with purple reflections. Then the nose enlights a Blackberry perfum with notes of , white pepper, cinnamon, floral, and peony. At last, the tannins melt in mouth . They are persisten but very well balanced.
Food Pairing recommendations: A great friend with white meat such as chicken or veal. Also a must try with a Blue cheeseor some tangy goat cheeses.
