This wine is a distinguished Bordeaux wine that exemplifies the elegance and finesse characteristic of its region.
Château Vergnes-Beaulieu has belonged to Univitis since 1986. The estate has been certified “Sustainable Agriculture” since 2005, then labeled High Environmental Value in 2014.
The grape variety is Merlot 100%..
First the wine has a medium-intense ruby color with purple highlights, Then, the nose is powerful and expressive with notes of roasted coffee and caramel mixed with aromas of black fruits.
At last the palate has a dense and muscular style. The wine is structured and opulent with aromas of black fruits such as blackcurrant and plum with a light touch of spice. The finish is long and vigorous.
Ideal for pairing with charcuterie, grilled meats or fish, tapas, tarts, pasta, cheeses or light desserts.
Best served between 15° and 17°C.
