Chateau Les Vergnes belonged to Gargan Baron who carried out successfully the first experiments against the phylloxera since 1879. Since then, the vineyard never stopped using modern vineyard techniques.
For instance,Chateau Les Vergnes has been certified “Integrated Farming” estate since 2005 .Then certified High Environmental Value, Chateau Les Vergnes is recently committed to a sustainable production approach. It respects a fundamental principle: to produce a quality wine while respecting the Men, the Earth and our Landscapes. In addition, this commitment carries the signature “Bee Orchid“. This rare orchid preserved on the estate is a certification label of Earthwatch Institute NGO.
Grape Variety: 66% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Franc and 16% Cabernet Sauvignon
