Brouilly Parfum de Gamay Domaine Robert Perroud 2023

Brouilly Parfum de Gamay Domaine Robert Perroud vintage is 2023

Organic wine.

Producing a certified organic Brouilly felt like the natural choice for my brother Michel and me. In 2003, we purchased this parcel in Cercié and replanted the vineyard with a clear goal: to craft exceptional Brouilly while respecting nature at every stage.

Domaine Perroud’s Brouilly expresses the character of Cercié’s granitic soils. Made from 100% Gamay Noir, this certified organic wine combines freshness, vibrant fruit, and elegant texture.

In 2003, Michel and I bought this parcel and replanted the vines with one clear goal: to create an authentic Brouilly while respecting nature. Since planting, we have cultivated every vine organically, following the values our father passed on to us.

Winemaking and Ageing for Brouilly Parfum de Gamay

We hand-pick the grapes and use whole-bunch carbonic maceration for eight days. The wine then matures in vats for nine months, followed by light filtration before bottling. This careful process preserves the wine’s freshness and expressive fruit character.

Tasting Notes

  • Colour: Bright ruby with purple highlights
  • Aroma: Fresh fruit, liquorice, and pleasant mineral notes
  • Palate: Lively and refreshing, with flavours of crunchy red fruit
  • Finish: Silky and smooth, with supple tannins

Serve this Brouilly at 13°C. It makes a delightful aperitif and pairs beautifully with cuisines from around the world. With proper storage, it can develop gracefully for up to eight years.

Domaine Perroud: A Family Heritage

Beaujolais formed an important part of our childhood, and its values continue to guide our work. Our father, a winemaker who respected people, nature, and hard work, left us a precious heritage. Today, we honour that legacy through organically grown vines and wines that reflect their remarkable terroir.

Tasting Notes: At first, a red garnet robe with cherry tints. Then, the nose is complex showing redberries, flowers and spicy notes. Overall, the palate is silky and round, with a
lot of fruits and mineral on the finish.

Food Pairing recommendations: Try it with grilled meat, roasted chicken, and why
not mexican food.

Fruity and Savory with an aging potential up to 5 years
Service: Drink from 13°C
