Château Clinet has carved its place in history with its eponymous wines. In 2009, the estate added Ronan by Clinet to its range, a collection of unpretentious, generous wines, inspired by the current owner’s philosophy and by the underrated potential of lesser-known terroirs. The labels bring Ronan to life: a dandy speeding along on his bicycle, eager to share the best things in life.
Grape Variety: 70% Sauvignon Blanc – 30% Sémillon
Tasting Notes: At first a pale green and light lemon. Then Bordeaux Blanc Ronan by Clinet 2021 will reveal a nose of clean fruit, gooseberry, green herbs, touch of honey, apricot and white peach.
Wine Making Process: Wine maker is using Sustainable viticulture methods. Stainless steel vats are used for the vilification and ageing with skin-contact maceration and low-temperature alcoholic fermentation (between 16 et 18°).
Finally on the mouth, the wine is juicy, soft with a delicious character of gooseberry and peach. You will notice also a touch of tropical fruit and honey. Overall this wine has a light character and an excellent acidity creamy with a medium finish. At last, the first impression, comes from the fleshy, creamy texture. Then the white and zingy citrus fruits step in, seasoned by cardamom and saffron threads.
Food Pairing Suggestions: Ronan by Clinet White is delicious as an aperitif. Also a perfect match for pasta dishes, fish or poultry, grilled or in a sauce. Serve lightly chilled at 10°-12°C.
