Belsazar white
Belsazar white is a vermouth white aperitif.
The production:
First, great wines are the basis for our vermouth. They only use carefully selected, regional wines from trusted partners that have the same aspiration. This is very important when it comes to quality and passion for such product.
Then, macerates are what give Belsazar its complex flavour. Indeed, the extracts from herbs, spices, blossom and husks are as varied as Berlin’s neighbourhoods. The macerates mature in large carboys.
Also, Belsazar’s finishing touch comes from a dash of fruit brandy. The Schladerer distillery has been producing fruit brandies using only natural ingredients since 1844.
The subtle sweetness of this alcohol comes from adding Black Forest grape must. To stop the must from fermenting, it is refined with brandy that has been left to mature in oak casks. This is where the slight hint of sherry comes from.
Last, all ingredients are mixed together during the filtration stage.
More importantly, the wine, fruit brandies and must become one. Indeed, this is when the vermouth starts to take shape – and all it takes is a delicate combination of skill, time and temperature.
The ageing process can take up to three months. Finally, the vermouth is stored in neutral casks to allow the liquid to develop its range of complex aromas. The ingredients are left to fuse with one another, uninhibited by aromas that would otherwise arise if the vermouth was stored in a wood cask. This is what gives this vermouth its refreshing taste, complexity and balance.
Tasting Notes: A mild and sweet aroma with a hint of elegant vanilla. Clear notes of dried peach and orange are accentuated by the presence of herbs and spices.
The brand identity:
As carefree as a warm summer night. As dry as Berlin humour. The best nights are those that happen without a plan.
Nine to five? Not us. We don’t plan – we live.
Belsazar is 100% natural with 0% compromise in taste. Then, it is for light, refreshing drinks and unforgettable moments.
Last it is the best drink. Whenever. Wherever.
