Beaujolais Blanc Domaine Emmanuel Fellot
Beaujolais Blanc Domaine Emmanuel Fellot is a Chardonnay as radiant as the color of the region’s stones.
Indeed, this winemaker proves that Beaujolais is part of Great Burgundy, with a remarkable white.
Organic Wine. Beaujolais White wine represents only a very tiny part of the production. Only 5% of the whole Beaujolais terroir is dedicated to the white production.
Following the family tradition, Emmanuel Fellot runs , together with his wife Nadège and their three daughters the domaine.
The domaine is set on twenty hectares of vineyards located between the Brouilly hill and the Nizerand Valley.
In organic conversion, they are developing agroecology.
They sow cereals, clover, and flowers between the rows of vines to bring diversity and attract bees. And they dig ponds, plant hedges, and install birdhouses around the vines to foster wildlife.
Harvesting is done by hand, allowing selective picking.
Grape Variety: 100% Chardonnay.
Tasting Notes: Beaujolais Blanc Domaine Fellot has a fine balance between freshness and minerality. At first a golden color. Then a citrus nose with floral notes. Overall the mouth is fresh and very round and generous.
Food Pairing Suggestion: A fantastic companion during the aperitif. It will pair perfectly well with fish and poultry as well.
Try it with a great selection of goat cheese from Loire Valley and some honey with truffles. It will be a delight ! Bon Appétit.
