“Bro-jolais” Beaujolais Villages Blanc Famille Gauthier

“Bro-jolais” Beaujolais Villages Blanc Famille Gauthier is a Chardonnay – Fresh, Fruity French White Wine from Les Bois.

Discover this elegant 100% Chardonnay “Bro-jolais” produced from sandy, stony loam soils in the Les Bois locality of Beaujolais, France.

The vineyard’s mineral-rich terroir contributes freshness, structure and a bright fruit character to the wine.

The grapes are hand-picked at optimum ripeness and pressed immediately after harvesting. Following pressing, the wine matures in a combination of vessels: 80% in vats and 20% in barrels. The two portions are then blended to create a balanced Chardonnay with lively freshness, appealing fruitiness and subtle woody complexity.

Fresh and versatile, this French Chardonnay is ideal as an aperitif. It also pairs beautifully with poultry, fish, seafood, white meat, goat’s cheese, fruit tarts and fruit-based desserts.

Domaine Famille Gauthier: Crafting Authentic Beaujolais

Located in the heart of the Beaujolais region in Morgon, Domaine Famille Gauthier is a family-run estate dedicated to the art of traditional viticulture. Led by artisan winemaker Laurent Gauthier, the domaine focuses on expressing the unique character of the region’s granitic and loamy soils through precise, terroir-driven winemaking.

Philosophy and Craft

The estate takes a thoughtful approach to both viticulture and vinification. By prioritizing the health of the vineyard and the natural balance of the vines, the family ensures that each vintage captures the true essence of its origin. This commitment extends to their diverse portfolio, which includes classic, structured red wines from the Gamay grape—particularly those highlighting the complexity of the Morgon appellation—as well as elegant, fresh white wines produced from 100% Chardonnay.

A Commitment to Terroir

After years of experience, the Gauthier family continues to refine their craft, blending ancestral techniques with modern precision. Furthermore, the estate has increasingly embraced sustainable practices, with significant portions of the vineyards now certified organic (AB). As a result, every bottle from Domaine Famille Gauthier offers a clear, honest reflection of the Beaujolais landscape, appealing to wine lovers who appreciate authenticity, structure, and finesse.

Beaujolais Blanc Domaine Emmanuel Fellot is a Chardonnay as radiant as the color of the region’s stones.

Indeed, this winemaker proves that Beaujolais is part of Great Burgundy, with a remarkable white.

Organic Wine. Beaujolais White wine represents only a very tiny part of the production. Only 5% of the whole Beaujolais terroir is dedicated to the white production.

Following the family tradition, Emmanuel Fellot runs , together with his wife Nadège and their three daughters the domaine.

In organic conversion, they are developing agroecology.

They sow cereals, clover, and flowers between the rows of vines to bring diversity and attract bees. And they dig ponds, plant hedges, and install birdhouses around the vines to foster wildlife.

Viognier Au pays de Lea Domaine Perroud

Viognier Au pays de Lea Domaine Perroud organic wine 2024

Domaine Perroud Au Pays de Léa Viognier expresses the character of organically farmed vineyards planted on granite soils in Beaujolais, France. Made from 100% Viognier, this white wine combines generous fruit, refreshing acidity, and a balanced structure.

The domaine hand-harvests the grapes to protect their freshness and ensure careful selection in the vineyard. Once the grapes reach the winery, the team presses them immediately. This gentle approach helps preserve the wine’s natural aromas and vibrant fruit character.

After pressing, the wine matures on fine lees for 12 months. As a result, it develops a fuller texture, greater depth, and a smooth, rounded palate. The winemakers clarify the wine with diatomaceous earth, which supports a clean and precise final expression.

Tasting Style

This organic Viognier offers a fruit-forward profile with notable freshness and structure. Its polished texture makes it easy to enjoy on its own, while its aromatic character and balanced acidity make it especially versatile with food.
