Grape Variety: 100% Chardonnay
The Appellation Montagny produced on 4 small municipalities (mainly Montagny les Buxy) is the southernmost of the Côte Chalonnaise. Curiously one of the most famous appellation in London or New York and Paris, Montagny (AOC since 1936) produced 90 hectares of Appellation Village and 200 Hectares classified first growths entirely devoted to white wines where the Chardonnay expresses beautifully.
Tasting Notes: Montagny 1er cru: at first, the nose is expressive, marked by mineral notes (white flowers) and citrus. Then on the palate the wine is crispy, fruity and elegant. Overall, It is a fine balance that offers this rich and charming wine.
Food Pairing recommendations: A great pairing with river fish (perch fillet, fried fish) or sea (cod fillet julienne, fish tartare). After a few years enjoy it with veal such as veal blanquette

Beaune is the largest appellation (by area) in the Côte d’Or and has 42 plots classified as premiers crus.
The bottle must be marked “Appellation 1er cru contrôlée” with the name of the town (for example: “Appellation Beaune 1er Cru”). The name of the plot is not always specified on the label.
