The Côtes du Rhône Villages Plan de Dieu have been recognized within the AOC Côtes du Rhône Villages since 2005.
It is said that hundreds of years ago, the plain of Plan de Dieu was a forest full of bandits. To try to cross it without hindrance, one had to say one’s prayers to the almighty before crossing it.
Located between the Aygues and the Ouvèze, these two rivers have established a deep bed of pebbles and clay that is perfect for growing vines.

Tasting Notes: First the bouquet is powerful and opens up to reveal ripe red fruits. Then, the wine Offers volume and softness. Next the palate is highlighted by well-present but smooth and delicate tannins, giving it a velvety texture.
The wine is rich in aromas of red fruits, spices and scents of garrigue, evolving towards tones of leather, anise and liquorice over time.
At last, best enjoyed within two or three years.
Food pairing recommendation. This powerful and intense wine will be perfect alongside a slow-cooked meat such as boeuf bourguignon or lamb stew.
