First, the name Romarion is the combination of the first names of Luc Torrecilla’s children: Romain and Marion.
Then, Romain, established since 1999, is the 5th generation of winegrowers. His ancestors, from Aragon in Spain, created the farm in 1870.
Moreover, The vineyard covers 40 hectares on the town of Puichéric around 20 km of the famous city of Carcassonne.
Last but not least, a selection of plots with the best balance between soil, plant and microclimate. Yield control through optimal nutrition management and disbudding. The soil, made up of white earth, is conducive to the cultivation of Pinot Noir.
Tasting Notes:
At first, 100% Pinot Noir L’extrait de Romarion is with a violet color with sour cherry flavors. Then, you will notice an expressive nose. Round, light and long mouth extending on a remarkable finish, peaty and vegetal.
Food Pairing suggestion: A great companion with Aperitif; It will pear deliciously well with mackerel with apples in oil or grilled tuna steak. A nice companion with roast poultry or Brie de Meaux as well.
Serve at 15-16°C. Aging potential: 4 years.
