Saumur Champigny is a red wine appellation of Saumur in the central Loire Valley. Made predominantly from Cabernet Franc, they are typically light or medium bodied. Also characterized by crisp acidity and slightly spicy flavors.
Domaine des Elettes is a 4 generations family business. Jean-Jacques Derouard started working there with his father in 1989, when there were only 9 hectares of vines. 15 years later, he became head of the farm and now manages 20 hectares of vineyards in the appellation.
