Saint Veran Naudin Pere & Fils
The vineyard of Saint-Véran is located on the slopes of the Mâconnais in the Southeast side of the Burgundy. This “terroir” extends on 680 hectares around the villages of Prissé, Solutré and Saint Véran too.
Grape Variety: 100% Chardonnay
Tasting Notes: At first, limpid and brilliant, the slightly tinted gold colour shows some green nuances.
Then a very clean nose reveals with elegance the richness of the ripped fruits (final with some citrus and peach nuances) together with a nice mineral unit. The mouth is well balanced with some freshness, the richness of the
matter and the vivacity. Overall, if you add a nice persistence on the palate, you have in hand a charming and “gourmand” wine.
Service suggestion: To drink young. Temperature of service: 12-13°C
Food pairing recommendations:
At first a nice aperitif to also a gastronomic accompaniment: it will be advised for all fishes (as almon cooked with a sorrel sauce for example, or a “tartare” of Salmon (cold), cooked shells and shellfish, or white meats and « fat chicken »
prepared with cream and mushrooms.
