Pernand Vergelesses Clos Berthet Rouge Monopole 2019 – Domaine Dubreuil Fontaine

Located in the Côte de Beaune, Domaine Dubreuil-Fontaine, a family owned Domaine for more than 140 years uses the noble grape varieties of Chardonnay and Pinot noir to make up its wide range of 22 appellations : starting from the fruity Bourgogne, to the lively village, from the prestigious Premier cru to the rare Grand Cru. Its vineyards cover the villages of: Pernand-Vergelesses, Aloxe-Corton and Savigny Les Beaune, Pommard, Beaune and Volnay.

Most importantly, Christine Dubreuil is a fifth-generation winemaker and owner of this Domaine located in Pernand-Vergelesses. As a result, her wines are elegant, charming, and delicious – each wonderfully depicting its vineyard.

Clos Berthet is a climat on the northern outskirts of Pernand-Vergelesses town within the Cote de Beaune region of Burgundy.

The walled vineyard lies across the valley from the Corton Grand Cru hill , which incorporates Pernand-Vergelesses’ own Le Charlemagne climat.

Pernand Vergelesses Clos Berthet Rouge is a monopole; which means it is owned in its entirety by Domaine Dubreuil-Fontaine, the only producer to make wine there.
