The new range « Vices&Vertus » which refers to the seven virtues and seven deadly sins represent the sculptures in our old barrel cellar. Our motivation, is to make people discover the traditional grapes from our region (Melon de Bourgogne and Folle Blanche) with different wine making processes.
Orgueil means “Ego”. We are very proud to spotlight the Cabernet Sauvignon grape. Most of all using an unusual wine making process : the méthode traditionnelle.
Grape Variety: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine Making Process Orgueil Rosé
First, all the wine making process has been done at the estate. Then, after fermentation in underground concrete vats, the wine takes on its mousse from a second fermentation and then is matured on lees during fourteen months. Finally, the entire process is made by our team at the winery including ageing and disgorgement. The dosage was chosen brut to keep the complexity and freshness of the wine.
TASTING NOTES :
In your glass thin bubbles highlight the pink color of the wine. Strawberry notes open in your nose while freshness explodes in your mouth.
Food and Wine pairing suggestion: At first, it is a festive wine, you can choose to pair it with all your aperitif parties. Also, wine is very complex, it can be paired during a meal with shellfish and white meat. You can also with some delicious chocolates.
