Minervois rouge, Chateau Canet, 2019
Awards: Gold medal Gilbert & Gaillard / Silver Medal Bruxelles
The 45 hectares of vineyards of Château Canet are located in the middle of the natural heaven called the Balcons de L’Aude in the heart of Minervois region.
The vineyard is under the rules of sustainable viticulture ‘Terra Vitis’.
It takes advantage of two different climate influences: The warm wind from the Mediterranean and the cooler breeze from the Atlantic. An ideal combination.
Grape Varieties: Syrah and Grenache
Tasting Notes: At First, a ruby red color. Then, red fruits (black currants, cherry and blackberries) on the nose. Additionally some light violet hint which is typical from the Syrah Grape. In mouth, you will enjoy a hint of liquorish and some spice. Overall a full structure but with some soft velvety tannins.
Food Pairing recommendations: A delicious companion with stews such as lamb stew or grilled meats, feathered game. Indeed a fantastic pairing with some artisan cheeses or as the locals do with the Duck Cassoulet.
Serving temperature : 18°C –
Ageing potential : drink now or keep up till 4 years.
