La Combe Grande Corbieres Red, 2017 ( oak aged) – cuvée Ramonetage
The Sournies-Tibie family has been making wines since the end of the 19th century.
First, Domaine La Combe Grande Corbieres is today an heritage which counts 80 ha of vines including 50 ha in the commune of Camplong d’Aude. The Carignan, Grenache and Mourvèdre grape varieties are fully expressed thanks to a Mediterranean climate.
Then, the other 30 hectares located in Montlaur benefit from an oceanic influence more favorable to the Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties.
Aas a result, at Domaine Combe Grande , they take the greatest care in the cultivation of the vines. Through generation, the domaine produces innovative and modern wines with respect for tradition.
Grape Varieties: Carignan, Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre
Tasting Notes:At first a deep purple in colour. Then an abundance of red fruits in the nose. Very generous rich and gourmand.Overall, a smooth texture with soft tannins.
Food Pairing Recommendations: A great friend with stews or confit de canard. It will also pair deliciously well with everything grilled: BBQ meat, grilled chicken, grilled Halloumi served with a salad.
