Tasting Notes:  Givry Maison Albert Brenot 2018, at first has a ruby robe. Then a dainty nose reveals very ripe raspberry and blackcurrant aromas. In the mouth the
wine is tonic, marked by aromas of wet earth. Overall the wine has a very little tannins supported by a good acidity.

Food Pairing recommendations: A great companion with White or red meat, grilled or cooked in sauce. A fantastic pairing with artisan cheeses such as Epoisses or Soumaintrain.

Serving Suggestion:  Ideal served at 14°C.

Ageing Potential: To drink young or to keep 2-3 years

Givry (along with Mercurey) was once the epicenter of Chalonnaise wine production and is famous for being the source of the French King Henri IV’s preferred wines in the 16th Century. These days, its wines are not as highly regarded as those from the Côte d’Or (i.e. Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune). However, some Givry domaines offer wines that are similar in style, while matching the price-to-quality ratio of the Maconnais to the south.
