Galet de la Loire
It is in the heart of Anjou, in the charming little village of Cornillé-les-Caves, that Galet de la Loire is produced.
It is a pasteurised cow milk cheese from Loire Valley.
This very soft cheese has a unique shape, similar to the pebbles bordering the banks of the Loire river.
Similarly to the famous Tuffeau stone, used to ornate the facades of the chateaux of the Loire, the rind of the cheese is ivory. It can slowly become yellow during the ageing process.
Tasting notes: Creamy cheese with flavours of mushroom and truffles.
Enjoy this creamy cheese with a glass of chilled cabernet Franc from Loire Valley.
