Eau De Vie METTÉ was founded by Jean-Paul Metté in 1960.
He settled in Ribeauvillé, in the heart of the Alsatian vineyard. Quickly he excels in the art of distilling and adds to his traditional range some unique creations.
Later in 1985, Philippe Traber joined Jean-Paul, his godson, whom he carefully introduces to the art and secrets of distilling. Philippe becomes the master-distiller and starts distilling new spirits including ginger or sichuan pepper.
After Jean-Paul’s retirement in 1997, Philippe and his wife Nathalie took over and have since been perpetuating the tradition and philosophy of the house METTÉ.
Brandy of Pear, Kirsch, Mirabelle, Raspberry, …: Eaux-de-Vie and Spirits Jean-Paul METTÉ, these are nearly 130 references of quality and excellence with original flavours, elaborated by hand in small alambics in copper with carefully selected fruits. Distilled twice, those spirits and liqueurs age at least six years in the courtyard of the vault. It’s the tradition!
Recommended after a dinner or served with a dessert such as Raspberry or Pear fruit tarts.
