Domaine La Voute du Verdus red 2018
The vineyard is located in the towns of Aniane and St. Jean de Fos in the Languedoc region.
The domaine is located in the village of Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, classified among the most beautiful villages in France. it hosts its imposing Cistercian abbey (Gellone Abbey). It is located 30 km north-west of Montpellier in Languedoc-Roussillon.
It takes part of the famous Santiago de Compostella routes.
Grape Varieties: Grenache Syrah and just a hint of Carignan and Mourvèdre.
Tasting Notes: At first a ruby red appearance. Then expressive notes of liquorice that later give way to cherry aromas. The taste exudes an ample roundness with silky tannins. Overall, this vintage reflects elegance and finesse.
Food Pairing recommendation: a great friend with traditional French cuisine, goat cheeses and grilled lamb.
