Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil is the appellation from central Loire Valley. The appellation is characterized by its crisp and refreshing acidity, made predominantly from Cabernet Franc. Also, a prominent spiced fruit flavor. The reds vary from light-bodied, fruit driven style. Or to mid-bodied wines with complex notes of spice and ripe berry fruit. Therefore the style is not dissimilar to good Beaujolais.
Herve Morin is the 5th generation of wine maker working on the estate. He is cultivating only Cabernet Franc on his 22 acres and is using supervised growing techniques for treatments.
