Crozes Hermitage, Cave de la Visitation 2018.
Appellation from Northern Rhone Valley in France.
There have been vineyards in the Rhone Valley since Antiquity. Number of archeological findings dating back to the Romans come as evidence of it. In the Middle Ages, the influence of the Catholic Church has allowed the Rhone vineyards to thrive, putting the great Terroirs of the Rhone Valley in the limelight. The wine of Condrieu was at the time used as sacramental wine, aged in the underground galeries that run underneath the village.
