Cotes du Rhone Blanc Les Portes du Castelas, 2019
« Castelas » comes from the latin « Castela » which means castle. This cuvee refers to the history of the Avignon Papacy in the 14th century.

Grape Variety: Grenache blanc – Marsanne
Tasting Notes: At first a pale yellow with golden reflections.
Then, the nose is very aromatic with notes of white flowers, citrus and peach.
Overall, the mouth is full and delicate with a nice roundness. The finish is persistent on slightly honeyed notes.
Food pairing recommendations: Ideal with tasty fish, Provencal cooking and creamy cheeses. Suggested recipe: red mullet fillets marinated in olive oil, garlic and parsley, along with grilled vegetables.
