Purchased by the Moueix family in 1953 (MOUEIX family also owns PETRUS).
The vineyard was planted as early as 1670. Then, awarded a silver medal by the international jury at the 1899 World Fair.
Grape Variety: 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc.
Tasting Notes: A balanced, full-bodied Bordeaux red wine blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes from the Right Bank region of St. Emilion. Aromas of cedar brush, tart blackberry and smoke. Decant 1-2 hours and pair with a rare steak.
Food pairing recommendation: A great friend with roast beef, roast venison, duck.
