Les Vignobles Foncalieu is a union of wine makers in the heart of the Languedoc.
Indeed, their vineyard landscape stretches across 4000 hectares.
First, located between the sea, the mountains and the sun-caressed plains. Grape Variety: 90% Syrah, 10% Grenache.
Vine Growing: Importantly, Green pruning to control yield. They ensure maximum grape ripeness.
Wine making: Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel vats. Temperature control. Maceration lasts for four weeks. They handle it with gentle extraction by daily pumping over. Malolactic fermentation
Soil: The 75 ha of the Château Rivière’s vines, facing due south on limestoneclay terraces with worn pebbles, enjoy a sunny climate conducive to balanced grape ripening.
Tasting Notes: At first, Chateau Riviere reveals an expressive of jammy black fruits. Then, it has some spicy and camphoric notes. Overall, it is deliciously full-bodied on the palate, combining elegance with power.
