Chateau Gromel Bel Air, Bordeaux Supérieur, 2015, 75cl.
Founded in 1855, Château Gromel Bel Air estate owns 27 hectares of vineyard in Fronsac nearby the famous communes of Pomerol and St. Emillion.
Limestone, chalk, and clay are the composition of the soil. As a result, it produces particularly robust Merlot-based red wines. Similarly, Cabernet Sauvignon only thrives in select areas on the right bank of the Gironde River. A special parcel of the estate’s vineyards is dedicated to this varietal which provides added structure and freshness to the blend.
Above all, Château Gromel Bel Air is consistently made with great care. It is aromatic, fruity and spicy, with a fine balance and moderate structure.
Grape Variety: 70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon
Tasting notes: The wine has a brillant deep ruby red colour and the nose displays aromas of ripe red fruits (black currants and cherries) with hints of vanilla. The palate has a rich deep structure. Full-bodied, this wine is pure pleasure.
