Château Citran owns over 100 hectares of vineyards in the Haut-Médoc appellation. They are planted with premium grape varieties that make the most of its fine terroir: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
Wine Tasting Notes: At first, A fresh and fruity spicy red wine with intense ruby color with purple nuances and low transparency. Then, the nose shows intense, fresh and pleasant aromas that start with notes of black cherry, plum and violet followed by aromas of blueberry, blackberry and raspberry. The mouth corresponds well with the nose, a slightly tannic attack but balanced by the alcohol, a good body and intense flavors. Overall, the finish is persistent with flavors of black cherry, plum and blackberry.
Food Pairing recommendations: A great friend with some mushroom ( salted tart, tagliatelle or Risotto).
Try it also with some roasted meats, game, Duck. A fantastic pairing with matured cheese such as Epoisses.
